A free tool that may help. Not a hardware repair.

That one line is the most important thing on this page. Fix My Speaker Team is a free, browser-based tool that plays a sound which may help loosen light water or dust sitting near your phone speaker. It may improve a muffled sound in light, surface-level cases. It is not a hardware repair, and it cannot fix problems that live deeper inside your phone.

Not a repair service

We are a website with a free tool and some honest guides. We do not repair phones, we do not offer a repair service, and we cannot fix your device for you. For real repairs, please see a qualified technician.

Not professional repair advice

The guidance on this site is general information, not professional advice for your specific phone. Devices and situations differ. Use your own judgment, and when in doubt, ask a professional.

Not medical or hearing advice

This site does not give medical or hearing advice. The speaker test checks your speaker, not your ears, and it is not a hearing test. If you have any concern about your hearing, please see a qualified audiologist or doctor.

Use a safe volume and stop if it gets worse

Please keep the volume high but comfortable, never at maximum. Maximum volume does not clean better and can stress a small speaker. Stop right away if the sound becomes harsh, distorted, or uncomfortable, or if your audio gets worse rather than better.

Do not use the tool in these cases

Stop and seek help instead

The tool is for light, recent, surface-level water or dust. Do not rely on it, and do not keep running cycles, if your phone is hot, will not turn on, was fully submerged, or was exposed to saltwater, pool water, sugary drinks, or any liquid that left corrosion. Those situations are beyond what a sound can reach.

Basic safety rules

  • Do not charge a wet phone. Electricity plus moisture can cause a short circuit.
  • Do not use heat, such as a hair dryer, on a wet phone.
  • Never push pins, needles, toothpicks, SIM tools, or other sharp objects into the speaker holes. The mesh behind them tears easily and permanently.

When to see a repair technician

See a qualified repair technician

Please stop using sounds and see a qualified repair technician if your phone has liquid damage, will not turn on, makes no sound at all, has strong or lasting distortion after drying, shows signs of corrosion, or has any visible physical damage. Going early, while the phone still partly works, is usually the cheapest and safest choice.

Your responsibility

You use this site and its tool at your own risk and judgment. To the extent allowed by law, Fix My Speaker Team is not responsible for any device damage or loss that results from using the tool, ignoring the safety guidance, or misusing the site.
